The residential buildings in Patumbah Park Zurich were initiated by Lis Mijnssen and completed by Miller & Maranta architects in 2013. Two buildings with freehold apartments and a public hammam form an ensemble in the park with the listed Villa Patumbah. The interior fittings were carried out using high quality and mostly ecological materials. In doing so, harmonious colour and material transitions were used between the inside and outside spaces. The shutters, windows and entrance doors are made of solid oak. Plain furniture has been made from the trees that had to give way to the buildings. The central element in the oriental steam bath is a facetted concrete dome with integrated window openings. The project was nominated for the arcVision Prize.
