Torsio (2002) is an innovative construction made of only two tapered wooden mouldings. Due to its shape, the chair is highly stable as well as flexible, by making the maximum use of the flexural strength and torsional characteristics of laminated wood. It is particularly challenging that the construction tapers where the torsion begins. The elegant chair for private or public use is available with or without armrests and also as a bar stool. Stackable upon request, alignment in rows is possible with an additional bracket. Executed with moulded plywood in black walnut (American walnut) or oak: natural, black-stained or in an open-pored lacquer in the colour of your choice. The unique concept of Torsio received the iF design award.
